#DekAbuse #LebLGBT Equality for everyone !

Well, as usual, another creative personality decided last week to go "YOLO" and attack the LGBT community in Lebanon for no apparent reason.
If you have been living under a rock for the last couple of weeks, check this video:

In short term, a "grandizer" stripped LGBT people in the middle of his municipality to "check" if they are men or women.
And what the victims had to say, ( a special thanks here to Georges Azzi )

And here is what the people had to say about #DekAbuse incident:

After showing all this,
- I won't be commenting on the incident, Mr Shakhtoura's stupidity and the fact that he broke every law regarding the basic human rights that HE and HIS political party are the main advocates.
- I have a smile on my face. You want to know why ? Because finally, and mainly thanks to @BeLebnani and @DannySeesIt , we have an #LGBT movement in Lebanon. I'm not forgetting the role of Helem here, but i'm just an ANTI-organizations person, as, with proof, organizations often fail to ACT an only REACT when they are pushed to.

So, asking all my readers, in or outside Lebanon,
If you LGBT or not, if you believe in equal rights for every person on this planet,
Check THIS:

Online Marathon for Equality

If you don't know what's this, check this facebook event:
Do you believe in our basic human right to bodily integrity?

Do you believe in our right to equality whether gay or straight, trans or cis-gender, men or women?

If yes, we invite you to be on the right side of history and join the movement for LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer] liberation from all forms of oppression in Lebanon.

Were you angered by the inhumane scandal in Dekwaneh?

#DekAbuse is the hashtag we launched on Twitter to refer to the abuse of power by the mayor of Dekwaneh who ordered the closure of Ghost gay bar and the detention of individuals based on their perceived sexual orientation and gender expression. Those individuals were subjected to verbal, physical and sexual abuse. The authorities stood idle, will you?

Finally, would you like to win a dinner for two in Bardo, “the Only Bar with True Love in Beirut”?

Join the Equality Marathon online in two easy steps

Share with your friends, tweet with #DekAbuse and #LebLGBT, share it wherever you want and join our campaign to liberate the Lebanese LGBT community from the tirans of antique politicians and religious figures !

WE WANT EQUALITY !
